Why this?

Basically, I can't sleep. This happens to most of us I suppose, but to me with increasing frequency. I suppose it all boils down to not sleeping normal hours anyway. And often procrastinating - doing things like this instead of real work. And then worrying about what I didn't do, adding to the stress that hits me when I actually hit the sack. Reading doesn't help, unless it's really boring stuff. Playing video games doesn't help. Exercise might help, but I don't want to wake anyone.

Regular hour jobs may seem like a drag, but believe me they help you keep your life in line. The rigidity and structure to build your life around is important - more than you realize. A job like mine lets me live like I did in graduate school or college - but with much better pay. That sounds like a great thing to many of us, but perhaps we humans need something more... regular.

OK, now if I can figure out how to stop making blogger.com put all my menus in Japanese - perhaps I'll be able to sleep. Funny how they know your in Japan, but they don't know that you don't read Japanese very well and use English on your system. Grr!
